Welcome. This website provides the latest information on matters relating to the Orton Parish Council. All information provided here is available under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Orton Parish Council achieved “Quality Parish Council” status in 2006. The Quality Parish and Town Council Scheme is a government initiative for all the 9,500 parish and town councils in England. To date only 230 have received this award. The accreditation process is conducted by the County Accreditation Panel on behalf of Her Majesty’s Government, and co-ordinated with the support of the National Association of Local Councils.
